The experimental films and videos offer a small glimpse into the Canadian psyche. The techniques and styles represented are quite diverse and are an attempt to represent the unique cross-section of work being made in this culturally diverse country that spans an enormous landmass. The works in this program were selected for their innovative use of cinematic language and for their unique cinematic visions. Through these works, it is possible to obtain a glance into the Canadian ethos, providing some insight into our cultural mythologies.

This hilarious, grotesque, and unique animated future chronicles visual artists Seth Scriver and Shanye Ehman’s trans-Canadian road trip as they encounter dull voice, rampant consumerism and unbridled eccentricity in small towns all over this wide and weird county.
